[help] Changing Titlebar Buttons' Position

Hi. I just want to know how I can change the titlebar buttons from the right corner of the titlebar to the left corner.

I saw it some where. I know there's a key in the registry for it, but I don't remember which one.

Any help would be appreciated.

its not a registry key, its windowblinds...this has been answered one too many times.

you can't do that with msstyles. you need to use:

1. windowblinds, as mentioned.

2. shellwm, a skinning program. get the appropriate aqua skin.

Ok. First of all, thanks to anyone who took the incredibly arduous, difficult, time consuming, irritating, and painful task of answering a question that has been answered soooooooooooo many times before (...sarcasm?).

Yes. I could've searched to check if the question had been asked and answered before, as I was pretty sure it had, and I DID look, maybe not extremely thoroughly, but I did and didn't find it. So that's why I asked.

Now. I just want to clarify that I do consider myself pretty much computer literate, as I am finishing my Computer Science major, plus I've been working on computer science research for years now. I thought that what I wanted to do could be done through the registry because I confused it with Gnome, as I am more of a Linux user than a Windows user, and in Gnome it's as easy as changing some variable values (if I'm not mistaken again and confusing it with KDE, or something else, which could also happen, as I don't find knowing how to do this in any given graphical environment to be critical, life or death information). Anyway, since I'm forced to use Windows at the moment I wanted to make it look and be as comfortable as possible 'cause I swear those Microsoft GUI people have as good taste as Elton John did.

I'm not trying to disrespect. I'm merely trying to incorporate some comic relief into this thread. Either way, in terms of respect, I figure anybody starts at 100% deserved respect, until they start doing things that don't deserve respect. So it's not so much that you have to earn respect, it's more that you have to maintain respect. 'Cause me, personally, won't disrespect anybody until I have reason to do so.

BTW is there a chance to use shadows and shellwm  without using WinFX?

Anything possible? Any ideas?

Or any ideas where i can find a Skin [like glacierAqua] with the "right button" that goes well with Kol's Panther 1.5??

Thanks for replay in this "lost" thread!

..Cheers

you don't need to use winfx to get shadows or use shellwm. they're independent. so you can use:

1. y'z shadow for shadows.

2. shellwm is just a skinning app. you can find it at sourceforge, i believe. i don't know where to get a good skin for it because it isn't that popular. you're probably better off getting a nice msstyles (with the buttons on the right side, but does it really matter?) or windowblinds with a wb theme.
