[help] recycle bin renaming
It doesn`t work! Any more idea how to rename "recycle bin"?!
(forgot to say that I use Stefanka`s Sys.Files)
Search in Regedit for whatevery your recycle bin is currently renamed. Then, rename both "Default" and "Localized String" to whatever you want. Restart and that should fix it.
For me, the name is at this location. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
Hope this helps

mine works for sure. i used that tweak before.
i haven't tried the others.
Something strange is happening: I can not rename it in registry, don`t have that option?!!!
I`ll have that stupid "recycle bin" name forever ![]()
maybe you should try it on Windows XP then ![]()
seriously: the option is there, but I think you don't believe me or the others, even if we would swear. you have to try that on your own, nobody can help you. especially as we (more precisely: the others) already helped you in any way possible!
I do beleive you people and I thank you for all your help but I simply can not do it!
I'm still fairly sure this will work...
(Of course, backup your registry)
Search in regedit for Recycle Bin. Find what you think is the right one (almost certainly in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT). Rename the two string values that have the (soon to be changed, hopefully) name as its data/value. Rename them to whatever you want.
I hope this will work!
in attachment, double click and "les joeux sont faits" ( I don't speak very well the french
)
So compare the rename text doing click on the bin
Finally, yeah!!! Thank you all, especially to "megabit" ![]()
No problem! Glad we (well, really just megabit) could be of service.
