Well the reason I like the original ATM, is cause it pulls real info from the computer, and not some text file you edit...
in both the main window and the more info.
But I do like the skinability (is that a word) of xabout... but its just not dynamic enough for me.
I'm using xAbout, but it would be better if it display the real PC info, not the fake G4 info.
Maybe 2 version of it?
and I like the ATM that someone has done, which when clicked at "more info" button, it will expand to display regular info like cpu usage, memory etc. but that one does not have aqua skin for More Info button.
But still I like xAbout layout. it would be nearly perfect for me if it can apply all features above.
xAbout all the way! But I don't like tha fact that all it does is pull your system stuff from your HD. I like the way the original ATM displayed further info.
Im using xAbout 2.0. It is so cool and yet bug-free. I like the original ATM More Info.
But I can create xAbout to have a More Info just like the way the Original ATM goes! Only if Developer Cassiel allow me to mod it.

Programing of this is already done - the new version is in early alpha state and will be released during this week!
Cassiel, would you implement the ATM expanding itself to show more info instead of opening another window(Sys Info). It is really cool to have cpu/mem usage bar displayed on it.

Try deleting the file "xAbout.exe.manifest" in the install directory of xAbout 2.0. That will fix it.
xAbout 2.5 won't have this bug ...

I use Original ATM by AquaSoft but might switch to xAbout 2.5 when it is released.

I don't run either. I use to run the Aqua-Soft ATM but I hate having to install the aqua controls. I'd use xAbout but it doesn't run on my machine, neither does xHotspot and I've yet to figure out why. I'm not running any special Object Desktop software.
I run DX9 on an ATI Radeon 9700 system running XP SP1. That's the only thing special I can think of. Oh well, for what it's worth I've seen both programs and they're both pretty nice.
Hmm... Maybe you dont have the runtime files?
btw, im all xabout! i love that app, its fast and nice, plus i rahter edit the information my self, and make it display what ever i want it to.
Cassiel: is it possible that you make xabout just standalone? as in you dont need to install it? i would really like that feature, but if not its still good
xAbout Junkies? Not really, but im a junkie of xAbout, bug free! Uses very small amount of RAM, I love it!!!!
