Developers List Needs Reviewing

The developers list under Members seems to have been ignored.

Currently here's what the list stands at:

Three Drives

Out of these members I think the ones I list below can go and I shall state my reason for thinking why they need to go too:

BetaGuy9000: Hardly ever visits Aqua-Soft. Only significant contribution I can remember is an OS X bootscreen, which was buggy. I remember having corrupted my installation on WinXP after replacing it with his file. That's not the point....the point is that his contribution does not warrant a developer badge.

Cassiel: Whoa....don't wanna get in here. An incredibly talented dev no doubt, but his stubborn refusal to accept an apology from the community brings about my decision to ask his badge be revoked. xStickies and xAbout are and will forever be amazing apps but a dev who doesn't care about the community doesn't deserve recognition in my opinion.

GAngel: Don't remember having used any applications by this member. I would appreciate if someone could remind me if he has made any significant contributions to the community.

Mithrandel: A one app wonder. Designed an iTunes clone which went thru a few betas and vanished off the face of Aqua-Soft once Apple's iTunes was released. I haven't seen any posts by him since.

pixelmatrix: Sort of undecided on what to do about this one. He has officially stated that he's leaving Aqua-Soft. But I leave this for Timan to decide.

I think the others are fine. Please let me know if the mods/admins agree/disagree. Please feel free to flame me as well. :smartass:

I abgree that badges have been ignored in this category...

Where is ave's badge for example? 'cause it doesnt get more active than him!. He has his own subforum (aveapps) but he cant look over it... strange...

About GAngle specifically, hehas released a couple of good apps, he is still active...

And do not feel free to flame <_<

developers badge is really for people who created some sort of aqua related emulation app, or at least it should be... :S

i agree but i think, since Ave`s one of the most active dev`s on the boards, he deserves a badge if nothing else, so he could close the nagging and whining threads.

Seph & Pe7er (Pe7er & Seph ) can`t be always around

I care about badges. I think they are lovely, definitely in OSX style. Thanks to them it's more visible who is who. And they brighten these sad grey pages

I agree that badges makes it easier to see who is who. Although, I don't know how many PM's I got while I was a NP to change a thread title or something else. In the case of a NewsPoster, the badge is decieving.

Edit: Seph is still NewsPoster on the Staff Page.

The badges are handy. They let you see quickly who to go to when there's a problem. With the badges, I could see right away when Stevie was given his modship, but when pe7er was mod-dified, I didn't realise until he closed a thread.

if were nominating peeps to be developers id say tig4 is worthy with his sherlock and finder apps.

@contra i know u have your opinions about the badges, wich your entitled too, but to me they represnt what u are to the comunity. and some people deserve, (or dont in the case of sids first post in this thred) a badge. and to them im sure it is important, even to a small digree.

please dont ban me
