[help] Microsohft Flight Simulator 2004

Hey,

I purchased Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 the other day, it works fine exept for the fact that i cant put my resolution higher than 800 x 900 or somthing like that.

I had fs 2002 before this and it went up to 1024 x ?. does anyone know how to put my resolution higher other than buying a new graphics card?

Thanks :D

Check if their's a patch or something for FS 2004.

Maybe that could fix the problem.

Might wanna tell people what graphics card you're currently running.

well i'v only got 4 megs of video card memory but the point is fs 2002 goes up to my desktop resolution and fs 2004 only reaches 800 x 700 (somthin like that)

well they could have changed the settings. Can you return it? or can u upgrade your vid card? it would make your system go giddie go. srry but maybe someone else has other advice.

The official FS2004 lists minimum requirements of 8Mb of video memory, but I'm not totally sure that would limit your resolution. I wouldn't rule it out though; when I tried Splinter Cell for PC, the resolution was limited because I only had 32Mb of video memory, whereas 64Mb and up would have let me go higher.

Have you tried searching through the FS2004 support guide? I found THIS. It talks about conflicts with WindowBlinds preventing the sliders for controls working properly. Being a member of this community, I can only assume that you use WB for OSX emulation and that this might solve your problem. If not, try going through the rest of the support documentation.
