Aqua-Soft ForumsIs there some sort of plugin available that will let me export graphic files to .ico format? I have done a lot of searching but found nothing so far.

i suggest to go with iconworkshop. it comes with an photoshop-plugin, and btw, in my eyes the best and most powerfull icon software.

I once had a plugin (took me long to find) and it didn't worked very well, so i also suggest IconWorkshop, best program for icons so far, and you could save the icons in PSD format. There is also a trail version if you want to check it out.

You can use IrfanView to save graphic files as an ico file, which works pretty well. IrfanView is a great free program, and it supports all kind of plugins and extensions as well. There's a download link
I have irfanview and still use it as an image previewer, but for creating/converting icons, I've had pretty poor success with it. It doesn't seem to handle tranparency very well.

hmai18- I guess I would have to agree with you about IrfanView and icon transparency, actually. Oh well. It's free...what more can you ask for.

not if you look for a smoother and more profesional look to your icons... IconWorkshop is the best.
IconWorkshop is great, but you have to pay for it 
. I know that not all software is freeware, but if you hang around Aqua-Soft long enough, you get used to all of this free software! Oh well. I'm not really into making icons so it doesn't matter that much for me.
