Aqua-Soft ForumsHei friends, honored to be part of this community, who really help us to have a better looking OS, I feel the need to say my opinion about a pair of things.
1. We have lots of apps skinned, those wonderful Iceman' VS, Docks and toolbars etc. etc. But we miss to important stuff , really easier to do that the ones mentioned above:
a) A really good Boot Screen (like the real one , with that gray throbber even not animated but similar at least).... whay r u using now ?
A really good Logon Screen (Jaguar-Aqua type) ..... The best I found is still OSXP by urbanslurp, but it still have that old aqua wallpaper and not the new jaguar one ....... what r u using now ?
(everything intended for not SP1 cores)
2. I'm not able to do that sort of things but I still want to tell you experts what I think about it (maybe you can work on it). I'm thinking about you Goku, Cassiel, Duckie, Siddarth, Iceman and all the other.
With all those skins , VS , dock etc. etc. there's just one "simple" thing that really makes our OS looking not good as the real OS x . The fonts. I know you already know that , and I know that windows have a different rendering engine but...... I think You really have to work on it. Maybe I Think you can do anything and that's impossible instead but..... If only you can something about it I think we 'll be really closer to the "perfect emulation". It's not the knid of font as you can imagine , but its sharpness graphic on the real mac.
3. Finally, an Idea. Why don't joining all your ability and making a sort of OSX suite containing all the necessary to customize an OS . I mean , just a sort of collection of skins Vs etc. etc. , Updating it sometimes , etc. etc. It could be a great stuff.
