[release] Mac Os X Guir Module

Hey everyone,

first of all to save on confusion im Fizical at DT, Neowin and DevArt.

here is my latest GUIR Module, hope you enjoy.

includes icons and bmps. avis will come when i can get some avis with permission.

bmps are supplied by Flyakite <- thank you very much for the permission.

hope you enjoy this module, when a screen shot is taken i will update this post.

all comments are welcomed, including problems.

there is an official site being worked on for modules for this program. it can be found at www.modulebase.net however at this stage it is still very much being constructed.

GUI Replacer is a new program from Shacal that replaces AVIs, ICONs and BMPs with ease. With the click of a button your system files resources are changed to those of the module. Your original files are backed up so that you can restore them at any time. This is like a shell replacement pack but in one file called a module. remember after applying the module that you should restart your computer and rebuild the icon cache. it is also recommened when changing from one module to another that you clear the icon cache

this program is ways flexibler than all the other systemfile replacement kits, you should check it out, and Kemical, knows as fizical otherwhere, has done great work which should be appreciated!

uhm... 1x "?" is enough to express a question, at least I was taught so...

anyway, GUIReplacer even works for the latest longhorn beta. so yes is the answer to your question.

yes it will work on XP Home/Pro non sp1/sp1/sp2, win 2k3 and even proven to work on longhorn.

sorry i dont have a screenshot as yet as i havent actually used this on my home computer as i personally dont like mac icons, lol, and i have been too lazy to apply it and restart take screenshot, apply my gant 2 module and then restart and connect to crappy dial up net a upload the pic.

so if some1 who ahs used the module wants to post a screenshot for me it would be much appreciated and if ok with you i will use it on my deviantart account.

Where to get modules? My say -no modules.

you download the program.

as 1.4 doesnt allow custom install location then it should be c:/program files/madd inc/gui replacer/

in this directory there will be a folder called modules

download modules from my devart account. http://fizical.deviantart.com

place them in the modules folder and you can then apply them.

i always recommend after applying a theme back up the back up just incase, you can never be too safe

No, in English you only use 1x ? or 3x ?

in American you can use as many ?s as u want.

I have installed Mac OS X Gui Replacement Module on Windows Xp NON SP1 Professional (Italian).

Everything's fine but when I try to open Gui Replacer now it doesn't appear in the middle of the desktop but out of the desktop so I have to move it with the keyboard keys. When I manage to put it on the desktop however, the window is small and not resizeable. The same happens with GUIReplacer Module Compiler. What's this problem?

P.S. will be the Open Dialog buttons be updated to Mac OS X style in the next Mac OS X module?

Solved the Problem! The solution is to turn off Y'z Shadow before launching GUIReplacer.
