Elements.

Well, I previewed one of my Elements ideas in my SmoothStripes (Black Panther) Release. After fiddling about in Photoshop I was able to create the kind of effect I actually wanted for them (For instance, for the magma one, I wanted to use my black gloss as a starting point and have a sort of neon redish-orange glow in it, as though it was actually in the glass).

I have however, come up with a concept image (still not really what I want the Elements set to be but it gives you and idea of the colour schemes). Ideas for other elements/colour schemes is appreciated and advice on which ones look like they will work well and which ones wont is also handy.

My Personal feelings about the styles:

Done well and as I imagine it, Magma and the future Nightshade colour scheme (Black with Dark Purple Neon) would look really nice, (If you've seen a VS called CarbonPro that might give you an idea of the kind of neon effect i'm looking for).

Sun at the moment looks bad, I don't know what it is about it but there is something just weird about it.

Earth and Sky/Sea (Not yet decided which), will be glossy when finished (The concept image just shows a titlebar shape using modified AquaLabel Styles from AquaGirl).

Gold is a sample of a glossed up version of the colour schemes for that group.

I like Earth and Sky as they are, they just need glossing up. Gold needs a little bit of tweeking to be the right colour but that looks cool as well.

-----

Again, any suggestions, ideas, comments, criticisms or down right slaggings off are welcome. I take all advice people give into consideration when making things.

PLEASE NOTE: This does not mean I've given up on SmoothStripes (Black Panther), I'm going to fix the - + x buttons later and release it all with the gloss version finished and Labtec's complete shellstyle.dll files.

oooh, gold,

We need a little "bling bling" in our VSs. It's about time we had some!

As I said I made them in a few minutes and they aren't what I want. If neone knows a tutorial on Photoshop neon effects I'd appreciate it.

Also bear in mind that they are at the wrong size for a titlebar, they are much smaller.

EDIT: Added NightShade Preview:

This is my attempt at a Neon Glow like effect. This is closer to what i imagined the Elements set to look.
