[Help] Catalyst 4.4 + mobydock

I´ve installed the last catalyst driver v4.4 and the transparency function is not working properly. With "no transparency" (all set to right) and with "totaly disapeared" (all set to left) it works fine, but in the middle ajust the background looks distorced. The icon transparency doesn´t works. There is a solution for the problem ???

Are you using 32-bit color pallette in Windows?Check it from the Display Settings control panel applet. Sometimes after a Catalyst driver install, Windows reverts to 16-bit color....MobyDock will not work properly if you use anything less than 32-bit color.

No way..............same problem.

First i was using catalyst v4.2 and MobyDock was running with no problems (except that some times it won't boot up with the system). So i try catalyst 4.4 and the problem happens. So i decide to try Omega v4.4 and the same problem occurs. Trying another solution, i've decide to install v4.3. In this version the background transparency works but there is a significant slow down when using backgrounds with shadows. So, now i'm back with v4.2.

This was taken from the Windowblinds usenet group, but it probably applies to what you're seeing here...

"ATI has introduced a serious bug into their drivers that breaks alpha

blending on non-theme aware applications on the desktop.

It would be very helpful if you and anyone else could very loudly make

notice of this to ATI in their forums and elsewhere. I'm sure this bug

affects other programs (and we know it will affect some projects ATI is

working on internally as well because they rely on this).

It is NOT a bug in WindowBlinds.

The work around is to disable non theme aware skinning or go back to a

previous version of the ATI drivers that actually function properly.

Our advice to others would be to avoid the CAT 4.4 drivers.

For ease of use, go here to submit the bug report:
