[help] Disabling All Sounds

This may be a stupid topic, but one thing I do not like is all the little noises that Windows makes for everything like minimize, close, maximize, and so on. I have disabled all the sounds on my machine except for the min, max., & close buttons on the titlebar of the windows. Everything in the sounds control panel is empty. I can't figure out where the sounds are controlled by. Please Help !!!!!!

Also, fyi, I am using Windowblinds, and I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but I couldn't find it in there either. Thanks for any help anyone provides.

P.S. I want them gone because my PC is hooked up to my main stereo, and I don't want all the stupid sounds playing loud while I am listening to music.

"no sounds" works for me as well. something is definitely up with your system.

try it again. it really should work.

you can also try looking for the actual sound file.

Use the "no sounds" scheme but go down and make sure all of the program events that are still giving you sounds are have the sound option set to "none."

Disable sounds in your WindowBlinds configuration dialog.

Run wbconfig.exe from your WindowBlinds folder. This will bring up the WB configuration dialog.

In the list of options scroll all the way down until you see a checkbox for 'Use skin sounds if any'.

Un-check that option and click 'Apply Changes' on the left-hand side taskbar.

No more sounds :)
