Looks like Merlin gained a newsfeed option, as well as the ability to purchase music from Amazon Music. Possibly some other stuff. Nice new interface, too. Looks a lot more professional. So we can expect a new release next year? It's in my nature to be negative! 
Edit: Oh no, looks like it's purchase anything from Amazon.com and music specifically from iTunes. Wow, how'd you integrate that?! Do you need iTunes installed? And since Alilm is obiviously helping you, is this going to be a part of Felix9?
Doesnt iTunes have its own music purchasing site so couldnt they just use that url? or maybe they extracted that part from iTunes...

New Channels:
-iTunes Music store info, info about all the chart hits etc
-Amazon.com, buy nearly anything from your desktop
-Amazon browse, browse featured items
-Weather.com, improved channel, adding support for anywhere
-News channel, business, world and tech news
-A merlin channel! keeps you up to date with new versions etc
New misc stuff:
-New toolbar acts EXACTLY like the mac os toolbar
-Real low memusage
-Bug reporting code, ill probably stick that in
-New icons created by me
Thats pretty much it on the merlin front 
enjoy.

yep - all the latest news/posts direct to your virtual doorstep.
Also, Al forgot to mention that in the iTunes Chan, you can double click on the song and it launches iTunes and goes directly to that song in the iTunes Music Store.
will this have all the features that old school merlin had or did u guys start over. refureing to movie, google and translater channels.
Google channel is getting redone right now but others have just been tweaked. This release will be the first actual release (Not Beta) so everything that is currently there will be working and in order. I wanted to finish everything b4 I started ne more chans.
