Serious Samurize V1.40 Released

Bugfixes:

* fixed memory leak with image ratio option

* fixed peaking bug

* fixed rare selection bug in config editor

* fixed analog line width bug

* fixed image path bug for Image graphic object

Improvements:

* updated AMPI plugins (kudos to Tropics)

* file path displayed in config editor title

* option to disable green/red config outline (and the warning)

* next/prev keys changed to pgdn/pgup to allow field tabbing

* scrolling in the Tools and Settings area reduced by introducing more tabs

* more uptime options

* new sample config (cheers Em7)

* password encryption for POP3 password in config files

* latest 4 config files opened appear in the file menu

New Features:

* vastly improved plugin interface

* base width for analog meter

NOTE: You will have to open any configs you have that contain POP3 meters in the config editor, re-enter your password and save the config due to the encryption/decryption.

Well, I just downloaded the new version, and it works great, except for the same problem with the last release. The AdvancedMedia Plugin still does not work. I copied over the 1.30 version of the plug-in and it worked perfectly.

If someone else installs this and it does not work, I have the 1.30 version of the plug-in on my web site. Feel free to get if you need.

I've tried samurize 1.40 version, everything works fine to me, except Tadis' Milk Suite v0.2 Media Widget, I always have error when I tried to open it. I dont know what's going on with this one. well.. just report this little bug hehe.. anyway, thanks for your hard work, I always appreciate this awsome program samurize.!:rock:

Finally Samurize got a plugin API worth mentioning.

Now you can code "old style" text output plugins, but also new image renderers

that give you a 32-bit alpha channelled GDI+ device context (Delphi: TCanvas) to draw on.

The things you may/must implement are now more similar to development of a Docklet / Desklet.

The impact on what is achievable is huge:

- Code an intermediate layer DLL, add YZ/AD/OD Docklets/Desklets to your config.

- Dig into DirectX - render a scene and let Samurize display it.

- Code Actual TV/Video streams onto Samurize.

- Code to Replace (gradient/translucent/image/spectrum) meters that you don't like with your own.

One thing is still missing:

You can't call into / automate samurize from within your plugin, meaning the plugin is being triggered by events and doesn't have any control of samurize.

And of course, since receiving mouse drag overs and drops isn't there at all, forwarding it to visual plugins doesn't arise yet.

Perhaps, time will tell.

this is being worked on and is the next step for plugins.

but in each case you will be able to combine anything,

plugin source with plugin display and soon plugin action.

also samurize does already suport some messages (hooks) and will probably have more in the future

so for each meter you will be able to fully configure everything

Be prepared to add your favourite Docklets / Desklets to your Samurize config in the near future - a plugin can do it, by then.

@NeM - That fixed it but I don't think the advmedia plugin is working properly because none of my album art configs work!

@FatAxl - Installing your plugins only cause the problem to come back for some reason.
