[Help] Needing Help With Mozilla

I can't seem to get the flashinstaller to install into Mozilla. I have it downloaded and everything - i have tried to extract it to the mozilla folder - no success, I have tried to extract it to the plugins folder, no success. I mean, it extracts there, but when I relaunch mozilla, and i go to a site that requires flash, it doesn't work. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

Thank you all :-)

I have the problem the last time round when I was trying to install the player as well. Still have no idea why, but what I did was to keep retrying. Works in the end.

do you remember exactly where you installed it?

mrUPallnite, try installing the Flash Block extension that requires you to click on flash before you can view it. You can't uninstall it or disable it even, but you can go to userContent.css in your profile\chrome directory and take out the lines the extension put there to disable it manually.

That's how I got it to work for me after reading a thread over @ the Firefox forums.

ok thats chrome directory in the mozilla folder?

#142999

Nope ;) . It's:

HD:\documents and settings\yourusername\application data\phoenix\profiles\default\something.slt\chrome

And make sure you enable show hidden files. ;)

If you're using nightly builds (like me), it's

x:\documents and settings\yourusername\application data\firefox\profiles\default\something.slt\chrome

when you install the flash plugin for mozilla, and it says "what browser are you looking for? browse to find it" you have to go to the plugins folder, then it will recognize it ;) .

What I did was install this plugin: FlashBlock. Since you don't seem to have a user-content.css, you can simply rename the file when it is created.

That's what I did and it worked for me.
