OK. Ive been using Icon Workshop to convert Mac icons for my 128pixel Desktop. Thats all I do with it, I dont design or edit icons (I lack the talent). Is there a free program that will let me convert .icns to Windows .ico?
Actually, a Program that will convert .icns to PNG is also good.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
IconShop 1.20.905 Alpha will convert Mac icon format to .ico...definitively not as gracefully as when using Icon Workshop and you can't do batches either, but it serves it's purpose. I don't recall if it will save out as PNGs though as I have not used it for a long time.
I have a Viewlet tutorial on my website that will teach you how to covert the OS X Icon files to .ico format using IconShop...you may want to take a look at it. Go to my Iconica site and follow the link to the Tutorials section on the front page, you'll see that tutorial there
