Qcd3 - Itunes3

1. Can I make QCD play a WMP music stream from the web without making it a default player ?

2. If I do make QCD the default player is it easy to go back to WMP ?

Thanks

I think so using the wma plug-in from the CQD plug-ins page. QCD will stream other supported type so I would thing it will do this.

"2. If I do make QCD the default player is it easy to go back to WMP ?"

Yes. QCD has straight forward check to use file associations. I have WMP9 installedc and QCD remains my default music media player. I have unchecked everything in WMP.

spidercrabx, is it possible to add Yz's shadow to your qcd skin?

#11294

You can add it but it doesn't work correctly. This is the same for all non square windows unfortunately.

I mean that Yz shadow as default do not add shadow to your qcd skin. Can this be corrected?

since my explorer 's window also have round border on top. but still Yz can apply shadow to it. Yz shadow totally cannot detect the qcd :o

digi:

If a mp3 player with an iTunes skin is not a must for you, then WinAMP 2.81 does get shadowed by Y'z Shadow and WindowFX.

Although there is no iTunes skin for WinAMP 2.81, that I know of, there are tons of very nice skins for it.

I started using it again after I discovered that it gets shadowed. For me, the illusion of depth against the desktop was more important than having an iTunes look.

Also, there are WinAMP skins that match some of the more popular Visual Styles that are about.

Milk, MMX and Cappucino come to mind here. Also there are several brushed metallic skins that match Jaguar Brushed quite well.

It's all a matter of which is more important to the individual. An iTunes look or shadowing.

All the best,

Grusic

Last time I tried YzShadow with Winamp, it only put a shadow under the main window and left the other windows, i.,e. EQ, Playlist, etc, without a shadow. Has this changed?

I have a small problem, I downloaded Qcd3 V38 and the iTunes3 blue skin from Spidercrab's web site, It's a **** HOT skin by the way. But the prob is that Qcd have put a ugly green icon for my MP3 songs, when I use Win Xp to change the icon to another icon it says that it's done it, but when I go into my MP3's folder the icon are still green ang ugly.

Please Help!

How do I get rid of that speaker icon in the playlist in the iTunes skin for Qcd.

Heres a pic of what I mean:

(copy and paste)

And is there a way to make Qcd to place the artist and song names in the right place. At the moment in the iTunes skin the artist is in the right place, but the song name starts in the artist area and ends in the song name area.

Thanx

"How do I get rid of that speaker icon in the playlist in the iTunes skin for Qcd."

You would have to edit the skin and make changes yourself. If you know how to edit skins this will be easy otherwise, if you have to ask how, it won't be easy.

"And is there a way to make Qcd to place the artist and song names in the right place."

No.
