[help] Getting Rid Of This Border

While i was cheking out NeXplorer, tested it for bugs and such, i found out that if i changed the skin, the border under the close, minimize and maximize-buttons would dissapear for a little while. Even if it is a bug (at least i think it is), it looks kind of cool, and i wonder, is it possible to make the VS look like this?

I mean modding the VS, so we can get rid of the border? I think it looks sooo cool :P

It doesnt look so nice in the picture, but thrust me, it does look nice with a whole window like this :)

If you dont understan what i mean, look at the picture. The picture doesnt explain it that good, but i hope some of you will understand :)

If you mean changing the Windows visual style to not have to border, sure. It's easy. Edit the caption bar BMP to not have the line.

Telling me this is easy, is the same as giving a monkey job as a president :)

I have tried to change elements of a VS before, and believe me, it didnt look very good after i was finished ;)

Can you be a little more specific? :)

You need t find the image that makes that caption. Either extract using reshacker of similar or use stylebuilder if you have it.

In StyleBuilder, go the "Windows and Toolbar" group in the left pane. Click on the caption bar.

The BMP should be named something like "FRAMECAPTION.BMP." right-click and choose edit.

The image should have an "active" state above an "inactive" state.

Open the image in paint or photoshop or gimp or whatever, and edit it.

The image you posted looks to only have a one pixel wide dark grey border.

Paint over the border pixels with the same color as the caption bar background.

Save the image.

If you are using StyleBuilder, the image is changed automatically. If using reshacker or similar, you'll have to switch the images yourself.

Hehe, sorry Arcanthur ;)

I got it working now :D This time i used ResBuilder and not StyleBuilder, and it was much easier, thanks everyone :)
