[preview] Felix 8067

Hey guys,

I was really bored and thought id show you some of the new features in the latest version of felix. (coming out in a coyple of days)

I've written a manual also (not uploaded yet), which is perfect if you dont know your way around the app.

Ok, lets start off.

The new Get Info panel:

-Features picture thumbnail for many image types, and some other file info

The new Path button:

-One of the new elements that is coming out of the new customisable toolbar

-Displays the last few places youve been and alows you to shortcut back to them

The new Right click menu:

-Well theres no visual difference really (excpet its not disabled), but all the features now work in it. Which makes Felix a whole load more useful

Drag and drop:

-Drag a file from explorer or you r desktop to Felix

And some bug fixes;

Sidepanel now works in compact mode..

Misc other bugs fixed

Well thats it folks! Expect Felix 8067 within the next few days

I completely forgot two of the most important new feautres

3 panel view: (still in beta)

Only shows folders at the moment, but could be very easily configured to show files.

Searching:

Search in current directory is now working, alows very quick match to a file name. Searching algorithm support substrings and is case insensitive.

I'm trying to think ahead. Instead of hard coding stuff, Im thinking a scriptable side bar (no not html, you'll be glad to hear). Not quite sure how I'll do it yet.

It looks oh so beautiful :cry: :woot: I can't wait! One little request: could you please change the default transparent colour for buttons? Black may be used by some future themes and no one uses magic pink in their creations.

@Pe7er: For the whole transparent thing. If you use almost black (0,0,1) Felix wont touch it, and it will look exactly the same

Would you prefer it use the first pixel colour as the transparent colour (i.e. the first pixel in the top left of the image)?

Hmm...sounds nice but what about totally rectangular buttons? Magic pink would be the best but if it's a pain in the arse for you to recode it, leave it black.

Man it looks awsome, though ive got to say multible hard drives is a 100% nescary feature. I cant wait for the final though, it looks very swell :canadian:
