[release] Finderx Theme Developer Release

Here's the promised release which has the support to READ themes.

They're very easy to edit. In the Preference folder is a .pref file which holds the entry to the theme FinderX should use, sp you simply set this to point at your own.

In the Themes folder is a file and a folder - this being the standard FinderX Theme. You simply build your theme the same way as this.

I recommend holding the same sizes - atleast in height - if you want to make ie. the toolbar widther then that's no prob.

I hope to see some cool themes in the next few days :)

If you have problems settings it up so that it works, I hope this "2 minute made" guide can help you.

Umm...

I tried editing the INI files when I first got this error, even after I changed the INI files still got it..

Exception EFOpenError in module FinderX at 000FCC1.

cannot open file

Try set a full path in the theme pref file

The can't open file means that it doesn't find the files it needs in the themes or it doesn't find the Theme file at all

No correct that!!!

You have to make sure that the pref files in the Preference folder has the right path at YOUR computer. Currently it matches my computer. BOTH the desktop and the THEME file.

It shouldn't be needed to add full path in the themes part. But I recommend doing so in the Pref files.

So the"Current Theme.pref" file should look like this

[Current]

ThemeFile=PATH-TO-FINDERX-FOLDER-HERE\Themes\FinderX Theme.fxtheme

And the Desktop Settings file

[Desktop]

Wallpaper=PATH-TO-FINDERX-FOLDER-HERE\Wallpapers\Other.bmp

Those 2 are a must for launching FinderX - Don't expect not to work for things in this release - it's still in a very early stage. And much of the features in it are either not fully working or is only working when you tell it how it should do it.

IE.. you can use any bitmap file as wallpaper - you just have to tell it where it should load the bitmap from, and you do that by editing the Desktop Settings pref file ;)
