[help] Can Someone Replace Fonts In A Theme?

hi,

can someone help me and replace all the fonts in a theme for me? i have the msstyles file and the font (nu.fon), but when i tried to replace it using resbuilder, the file got corrupt and was unusable.

I never had StyleXP installed only a patched uxtheme.dll (or whatever the right name is ^^) and it works. So i guess StyleXp or uxtheme.dll since they both do the same "job".

i guess i'll give it a shot. i just don't want to waste time if i find out it doesn't work again.

I think it just says that stylexp is needed because, it would not make much sense to use stylebuilder without being able to use the theme afterwards. There is also an option in stylebuilder "compile and apply" where you can set the modified theme as "active" theme and to do that you need stylexp or a patched uxtheme.dll. I think thats the whole deal about the "requirement".

got stylebuilder and tried to import the msstyles file, but nothing happened. what did i do wrong?

When you click on File and then import mssstyle a window should popup. Is that working for you?

i click import > dialog pops up > i choose the msstyles i want to work on > click ok > nothing happens. the same windows luna theme is loaded in stylebuilder and i can't work on the msstyles file.

Have you also set a directory below where the theme should be extracted?

ahh, that's what i didn't do. i thought i only need to import, then extract later. thanks. i'm only used to reshacker. i'll try this out now.

Good luck, i started myself yesterday to mess around with stylebuilder but it isn't that difficult. Atleast not the things i tried.

well, i managed to change almost every font except the button one. i thought i went through the whole theme.

it looks like a glitch. looks fine in one preview, but not in another.

that font is not too small for you? my squeaky eyes would have problems with that after a while... :blink:

i don't have anywhere to upload the msstyles file, though.

wookietv, the font is rather small, but it's nice. i might bail on this project if my eyes start giving up on me. :lol:
