[help]multiple Processor?

i am about to inherit four fairly new computers, i assume they all have p4's. i know there is not a motherboard to support 4 p4's but is there one that can have more than 1? i dont do hardware, i am a software guy, i just need to know before i ask my friend jonathan to help (build) make it :D.

Thanks,

Nope the pentium 4 doesnt support multible processors simple as that. I think your best course of action would to build a single CPU system and send the other 3 to me :D Only intels xeon, AMDs MPxps and operons support MP. Authough i did hear that the athlonXP can be converted to a athlon MP with a little modding.

From what i remember I've seen dual P4 HTs around... -_- I may be wrong but I believe that P4's support dual

P4 can't do real SMP. You could use HT, but that's kind of "pseudo".

If you want SMP on x86, you'll have to do Xeon, AthlonMP, AthlonFX, or Opteron.
