i made a lil desktopX them by the way, - its cool and works fine, but then when i try draggin the sys pref window, which is based on something like 20 layers almost, it becomes repulsively draggey and isnt worth utilizing in desktopX anymore.
Is there anyone bored with a motivation to take screenshots i already made (with darken icons and all) for this lil appli that will act like a shortcut?

I have to say, right now I'm using Iceman's modded control panel file, which is already quite nice.
But a hacked control panel that really looks like os x would be awesome! 
I reckon we should just hack the control panel itself to look like os x.
i thin that if some1 made an app it would be cool if the classic mode button opend up lets say bassilisk 2....that would be preety cool

yeah, skin the mofo win32 look of the control panel - but lets have a skinned appli besides it that runs the CP shortcuts with the osx gui as i explained above..
so are there any takers?? this would be really cool if anyone would have utilize this idea...

like i asked above.. all you want is a program that basically has shortcuts to windows' control panel items? if i can figure out how to do that, i will try to make this as my first project 
. though if i can figure out that i'll need the icons and stuff

no i wouldnt mind at all does anybody know what exactly the aquacontrols are used for and/or how to use them to make everything all nice and aqua-y?

lol, nobody steals anything hyperb0le, cause in either case this appli will be based on our lord apple.
besides, i saw duckie making that in desktopX a while ago and i decided to make one too, so its all about the community and for the community. If someone will make that appli before you, you can always offer a better appli (like ATM of timan and cassiel etc.)
but anyway if you come up with that program, than you got yourself a cool spot in the fame as an aqua apps maker.

It's a really good mac program by the IconFactory made for quickly changing icons.
this app i think would be very simple to make. I am gonna try it my self, but i dont know if i can make it all perfect and stuff.

I've thought about such a program weeks ago. Then I recognized the main problem: How to include this app into the windows shell?
I mean: You can't change the startmenu entry of your control panel link to this app. <_<
Another problem is the fact that OS X has more options in "system preferences" than Windows in "control panel". What's up with entries such as "Dock", "Sharing", etc.? One idea of mine is to try that Y'z, Moby & jef provides a command line like "Mobydock.exe -pref" to run the preferences screen out of any other app that can do shell-executes.
But I'm gonna try...
