Need Help With Getting News/weather

on my blog, i want to have the news 'top stories'... i was able to get the HTML code from USA Today for the top stories... the only thing is that it adds all of their extra crap, ways to search usatoday.com, etc... i want to get rid of that part of the code, but i'm just getting started so i'm not quite sure what to remove...

plus, can anyone help me find a weather outlet that will provide a live feed of my zipcode, as opposed to what you see in this screenshot (where you have to enter a zipcode)... i might keep that one too, but i want to be able to see it as soon as i get on to the site. i know weather.com does it, but they too, throw junk into it... i just want current temp, icon, condition.

Find a news feed in standard RSS. Many blogging services can parse RSS feeds and you can make them look however you want.
