Aqua-Soft ForumsI used tweak UI to get rid of the Trash bin icon on my desktop. Only problem is once I did this, I could not get into the recycling bin with any of the docs, they all show that the link does not exist. Does anyone know how to get rid of the Trash icon on the desktop with out removing the trash folder, but so that the folder can still be accesed with the docs?
Problems With The Trash
i tried using the gpedit.msc thing ya segested, but when i do that it kills the link just like tweak UI does.
Another suggestion is to use Recycle Bin dockelt in Y'z Dock.
thats my problem when i try using the docklet with the recyble bin icon removed, the link for the docklet stops working.
Here's a helpful article from Microsoft that may be able to help you. It even assumes that TweakUI may be at fault.
You have to edit the registry, but there isn't anything complicated.
