Did you see the "absolutely-beautiful-although-a-little-bit-seventies-like" automatic dynamic wallpaper on OSX ? (colours changing slowly, very slowly...)
Do you know about any PC app able to produce this effect ?

hum...I know the guy that makes Milkdrop and Geiss for winamp (visual plug-in) has a program that runs some effects as your background...might check that out.
haven't seen what your talking about yet but I'm sure this is a little more drastic.
