Wb And Photoshop

I was wondering if someone can help me out. I've noticed that WB themes, although in many cases superior to MSStyle ones have problems with Photoshop and so on. Actually what happens is that when I install WB, Photoshop gets that ugly Windows Classic look.

Anyone has a solutions to this? WB 4.2, does it work?

Thanks.

I'm using 4.2 and yes, I also get the individual image windows and palettes reverting to the classic Windows min/max/close icons.

It's a shame, but I'm usually too busy concentrating on the project I'm working on to notice the buttons.

yeah, but it does destroy the whole purpose of skinning right? I guess if doesn't do it 100% then what's the point. I'm kind of a perfectionist, so all these small things bug me :)

Unfortunatley each have their flaws. MS Office niether gets skinned. It's just things we have to live with until someone finds out how to fix it. Or until Codename Longhorn. If you have a time machine, now would be a good time to use it. See if you can get a hold of a copy, bring it back to this time and distribute it.

Question - Would free distribution of a program that has not been created yet in this time frame be considered Piracy?

Let me ask you this though..Is it possible to run MSStyles and WB together in a sense that if WB can't skin that app you just simply put that app on ignore list in WB and continue using MSStyle on it?

Btw, Office 2k3 gets skin somewhat with MSStyles..

windowblinds and msstyles aren't able to co-exist simultaneously....

I have never had any problems running PS wih WB4, all the elements are skinned correctly, so like I said no problems a all :)

@zoot

What version of WB and PS are you using? Photoshop CS is not working with WB 4.0 and I think Photoshop 7 as well.

I have WB 4.2, all the photoshop controls are aproximatively well skinned. The single small problem of the palletes is the right position of their titlebar buttons. See the below image.

I used Photoshop CS.

But, the great leak of all our perfectionists is the "parent" window or application window that includes the "child" windows or file windows. In Photoshop for Mac (e.g.) you will see only the application menubar that applies over the system menubar. The toolbars and file windows are flying over the desktop, not over the application window that in M$ OS-es.

Its a verry great challenge to mimic this. I'm not a programmer, but I actually think is impossible.

Both 7 and 8 are skinned correctly for me with 4.2 (when I used 7).

Installed! Works like a charm...I gotta admit WB 4.2 works excellent! Much better skinning capabilities and it gives everything a better look..Only if I found a good complete Panther theme for WB. Anyone any ideas..I've looking everywhere but most of it sucks, WinCust., Customize.org, nothing.

Search for Brushed Panther for all applications (in this site) and Panther Finder by Shinter only for Explorer in this section. You will be happy.

All M$ Office versions get skins for both WB and MSSTYLE, but only the titlebar and the dialog boxes (incomplete).

WB screws up my MX 2004. It makes Dreamweaver background tabs pink. :(

I hate WB.. i tried it.. went back to msstyles... tried it again when the Safari Firefox came out... forced myself to try and like it... it was always just ttoo fluky and a noticable performance hit on a 3000+XP, 1gig of 333, 9700 pro.

almost all of stardock apps are a piece IMO.

there is no performance difference i've noticed, i didnt even notice on my duron, a freaking duron 900! you need a reality check dude- a serious reality check, stardock makes all tehbest kick ass programs, object dock, object bar, and windowblinds are staples for jsut about everyone- MSstyles just doesnt skin as much as new versions of WB, and it doesnt let you do as much either
