How´s The Status Of Development?

well, it´s long time ago i heard something real new about objectdock. is anybody working on the development of this baby or do stardock think it´s perfect? from my point of view objectdock is great but could really need at least a better magnification-effect.

i´m not *****ing, just interested if this great little tool with much potential will become better and better.

do someone have any informations?

first: how u wanna know that?

second: it´s not necessary to speak to any stardock employees directly, i´m jsut asking for information. maybe someone here heard something.

In the Stardock-newsgroup, I saw a post from a stardock-employee seeing that you don't have to expect anything before "summer".

I can't find the post now, but if I will find it, I'll quote it here.

PS. If Jeff is reading this, I want the OnDropFiles() to be fixed, I have to hack my way into the dropping now by doing my own IDropTarget, because the files-count from the HDROP always return 0 .

well.. out of all zero stardock employees who view this site.. i'd say you're barking up the wrong tree sport.

the creator of objectdock visits this site... <_<

yeah...I wish they will have a option to let the dock grow to a max length so that when you have too many windows open it won't expand all the way outside of your screen..

:(

Heh well the zero stardock employees who are regular visitors to this site, minus the developer of the program itself ;)

ObjectDock dev is currently on hold while attention is paid to the next version of ObjectBar, OB2, which features such things as a completly redone User Interface for a user-centered experience, allowing easy creating/editing of ObjectBar themes, and easy in-line skinning. (Check out the objectbar & objectbar.binaries group on stardock's ****oards (server address news.stardock.com)

Regardless, focus will be restored to ObjectDock by summertime to start enacting the sets of new original features and abilities i have in mind for the next ObjectDock

thats news for now, hope you all can enjoy OD v1.0 fine til then! ;)

Hy,

I'm a ****ie around here, but i've got a few "requests" for the next objectdock (maybe those who develop it will se my ideas and might even implement them :D)

1. support for multiple instances of the dock (so i can start 2 or even 3 docks)

2. the imagebrowser should show a tree in the left side, because i've got about 2k of images sorted in folders and subfolders, but the damn imagebrowser puts them all in one place (which makes it load slowly)

3. give the ability to load images from another folder, not the OD folder (i meen i have a folder with all the images and i'd like to share them between different apps, and for now i have to move that flder inside ODs folder to be able to use it in OD).

That's about it for now.

P.S. if i'm "barking up the wrong tree", could some one tell me where should i post such request ?

Thanx and bye.

Good! It's not dead!

Would be nice if they could fix that thing about the image browser (folder tree view) and a bigger preview in the side.

And the bounce effect... make it a little slow and smooth... mine looks like it's on steroids... :D

mine looks like it's on steroids...

Lol so does mine.

Good something to look forward to this summer..being home from college sure isn't on my list of "fun things to do"...
