anyone who likes rap, but not eminem, is an idiot and should go shoot themself in the face. Eminem is the best rapper of all time, period. All other mainstream rappers use the same rhymes over and over. I can't stand listening to a CD and hearing the same rhyme on 8 different songs, 20 times. Or rhyming little 5 letter words. he can put together long ass words, even if they dont sound like they rhyme, and make it sound perfect.

Sorry... would have to disagree about him being the best rapper of all time... He's turned himself into a top notch rapper, for sure, but you have to give more than a little credit to those who came before him... NWA, Wu-Tang, Cypress Hill, RunDMC etc... Sure he ranks alongside them... But he's not head and shoulders above them like it seems you're saying. I remember back when Eminem first hit the scene big, he couldn't write a song that wasn't aimed doully at pissing someone off... That's not good lyrics. Now though, he can be ironic and funny or even serious (from time to time), and he seems like a very shrewd business person.
Oh, and yeah... I saw that one the D12 vid as well... I kinda took a double take at it lol

Ya thats what I think about it too.
But there are other good rappers to with awesome lyrics and beats like kanye west, Dr. Dre, Royce, Obie Trice...

i have to say ludacris is currently my favorite rapper, but eminem's technical skills are amazing.
but what really bothers me is what a trend 50 cent was. i heard people saying how he was the best rapper. please. 'in da club' and '21 questions' are just radio friendly. 'wanksta' is just plain horrible.

With regards to Eminem being the best rapper, or whatever, I'd tend to disagree - don't get me wrong, he's very talented, but, technically, if not commercially, there are much more talented MCs out there...
J-Live, Asheru and Blue Black, El Da Sensei, any of J5, Twista, the list could go on for days...
As for "shooting yourself in the face", that's possibly the most uneducated comment I've ever seen on Aqua-Soft, bar none. I'm disappointed, Deleted - I expected better of you.
At the end of the day, who you like and dislike is a matter of taste, and no-one can change that, no matter what they say.

All songs (except Classical) are poetry with music. Just there are different styles. e.e. cummings, Sylvia Plath, et al.

i have various taste in music, yet im still down with the shady camp for good. they have the most up-beat beats and ill rhymes.
i wont say that they are the best. only because everyone has a different definition of best. but some of the "best" in hip-hop today give him the credit that he deserves. they say that lirically he is un-touchable. and i agree. the only reason people/rappers beef with eminem and the shady camp is for publicity.
its true, if you arent selling albums what do you do. beef with those that are. it's that simple.
you can hate his voice or his way of being, but still he is recognized by millions. and even if you hate him. there are hooks that you cant get off your mind.
so for those who hate the shady camp. i salute you

dude what are you talking about, anyone who gets played on mtv IS FRIKEN MAINSTREAM. i have to admit his songs do mean something compared to 50 cent, but come on, mainstream sh*t sucks.

Not always. Mainstream is just Radio/TV waves friendly (has the right ups and downs in music pattern, easy on the explicit language, there is a whole formula that makes music to be played on the Radio/TV), and then the audience tells (not literally) if they like it, more positive, the more it's played.
All you argurements are based on ignorance.

That is more wrong then your av... Eminem got his ass handed to him in a battle against Eyedea. Sage Francis is the best rapper, you should hear the verses he comes up with.
there are a lot of underground hip hop artists mentioned here i've never heard of 
but has anyone seen jin (the asian guy recently signed onto ruff ryders)?
