Aqua-Soft ForumsI have just install fresh Windows XP sp1 and applyed Stefanka`s System Files which I used before and everything was PERFECT, but now I have a BIG problem: everything has changed exept shell32.dll (it is changed,there is a backup in sys32 but my icons in control panel are the same as in windows, and my folders are still the same as in windows!!!!) Please help, what shall I DO :cry:

Replace only the shell32.dll manually to overwrite the one you have...
I did that more than once and still nothing! In category view( control panel I have the right Icons, but in classic it`s still the same old ugly icons) and folders and drive icons are still old ones!! Any more idea, please?
uh, there are several things to note.
1. control panel icons are not related to shell32.dll. you need to replace the cpl files.
2. clear your icon cache with tweakui > repair icons. if you replaced properly, the icons will change.
Where to find cpl files?
windows/system32
Have you even tried searching for files in your Windows directory called *.cpl?

I solve the problem: first I have install Icon Packager and load some theme and then uninstall it and now everything look like it should be!!!! Strange, ha!?!?!? Anyway, thank you for all your help people, I LOVE YOU

or you could have loaded up into safe mode - ran the replacer and then rebooted should have worked straight away like that - i have to run it that way strange as alot of other people dont have to
