This Comparison Is Awsome!

Look at this comparison:

the first picture is a real Mac desktop from taha's power book.

The second is my bar using Yz shadow for the bar and window FX to add shadow to the menus.

gentleman just judge by yourself

#10789

Ok.. HAD to see this again. Dude, this is just amazing!

One thing tho, you know the :)

#10790

I know that the functionality of that right hand side icon is not the correct one but... This is windows at last and it needs to be useful

#10799

OK ****ie question:

How do you get the HD icon to report the used/available space data?

#10800

This is just a cosmetic icon. not the real hard drive one :)

I'm sorry

#10801

Nice, very nice!

#10841

the bar shadow is a little over spreaded

the menu shadow is too dark

#10875

all this things can be adjusted with both window fx and Yz shadow. it's just a question of time to fine tune

#10876

semms the stripes are lighter on a mac

#10878

Yo mcpinty, make a version with a Canadian friends for the peeps up North

#10879

2 posts up you say that the menu drop down shadows can be adjusted using y's shadow,.. I could not do this.

I see no shadow on drop down menus on this OB theme.

How do I enable them?

#10886

No. Yz shadow is for the bar. for the menus I use Window FX

#10888

You're running winfx and Yz's shadow at the same time?

Ouch, that can't be good... not just resource heavy, but could cause unforseen conficts...

#10911

I agree, that's why I gave up on OB,.. it's just far too clunky

#10913

Wow, amazing job McPinty. Truly amazing. The font is so realistic.

Glitzychiwuawa,

That functionality is available on the PC if one likes.

I use a Samurize script to report HD status below my desktop HD icons.

If you care to go over to the January desktop screen shots area and look at the shots submitted by Grusic, you'll see it.

It's doesn't look exactly like OS X, but with a little adjustment I could get it identical, if I liked.

Peace,

Grusic

#11124

OK I'm listening, please tell me how to do it?

I.e. identical to OS X if possible.

#11131

Mcpinty, that looks awesome. How can I get that look?

I *think* by using his bar :D

McPinty, Which version of your ObjectBar is that? 10.2.4? Because I running that right now, and I couldn't be happier!

Although, is it be possible to change the <--> icon for the hide/show taskbar?

AND, can you make a bar without the stripes, like what TAHA had in a previous screen shot, here?

Great job with the bar. I'm a satisfied pseudo-apple user! Now, if we can just get Vstyles to apply themes per application!

Like this??
