Which one are you reffering to? Anyway...anything inside/around the edge of the button can be changed by editing/making a new button bmp to use in the vs.

He's talking about the grey box around the pill. Are you using StyleXP or WindowBlinds? Either way, I don't think there is a fix besides editing the resources.

what theme are you using? you can edit the resources by using resbuilder or reshacker. you definitely need to use some transparency to get rid of that gray fill. if it's a png, use a transparent background. if it's a bmp, use magic pink (255 0 255).

you might need to edit the image resources.

pick up a copy of resbuilder at tgtsoft.com and go through the buttons and edit them. make the gray part transparent.
