Hello fellow admins, i have a humble request to shorten the "anti-spam" time limit to maybe 45 seconds. When i usually come here, I like to post as soon as possible when im in a hurry and with that time limit thing, it just mkaes things harder.
Please consider this matter.

If you can write a post in less than 120 sec., you must not be giving a lot of thought to them. This isnt a rush thing. We like high quality, interesting posts (not me, I could care less, but some people probobly care). Im not an admin. though, so my opinion doesnt matter.
Some posts don't need so much thought or need to be long
Either way, its not a big deal. I mean, we are complaining about 2 minutes here. There is starvation in the world!! Just kidding, no one really cares about those africans.

Even if you are only going to post a few lines, use the extra 45 seconds to read over your post and fix grammatical errors.
A few commas and proper capitalization in all posts will help the board.
That's all well and good but what about those of us who, at times, want to post but are short on time?
I know why this measure is taken, but i think it is too extreme. I would say that it should be lowered to 1 minute max. 2 minutes doesnt allow me to post, as i would like, sometimes i want to help others and 2 minutes stop me. I sometimes dont connect on all the day, i com back, read the threads, and i want to add my though to whichever i find interesting, but the 2 minutes, is too much, much when you need a quick answer or reply to other help.
So in summary, i request lowering the time to 1 minute, instead of 2.

Just dwell on your post until you have enough time to escape the filter: write it out in notepad.
Maybe if your post can't be written in under 120 seconds, it really isn't worth posting.
But, of course, there are two schools of thought on this matter. First is the plato-terraposting theory that the length of a post needs to correspond to the amount of time it took to write it. This theory says, for example, if a post takes five minutes to write (300 seconds), it needs to be about 150 words. This gives a one to one-half ratio of second to word.
Second is the plato-platonic theory of posting. This one is a little more complicated. It uses a similar second/word ration system, but it attempts to create distinct categories of posts, each which have there own set ratio. Classical plato-platonic posting theory assumes four groups: assumed topic, political topic, religous topic and casual-topic. The proper second/word ratios for the main four groups are 1/.5, 1.8, 1/1, 1/1.2.

We are writing posts to message boards though not writing our thesis for our essay to get a degree in aquafication. =Þ
well, the idea of a board, is to post ideas and messages, to conform a community. Here one pilar of the main purpose is "affected" It was ok before, i don tknow if the board gets slow or something by the way to justify the high time established, I'm not asking it to be removed, but to be lowered, i consider it too high.
I searched for something, found this thread again...forgot about it.
All I know is if I can type a post that is as long as this IN THE correct casing and all of that good stuff, and post it, then go to another post and try to post, and it gives me a wait 120 seconds error on my 40k connection, that might be pushing it a little. :-D Maybe I just type fast, I dunno, I think it should be lowered whatever way you look at it.
I think it should be increased to 15 minutes 'cause if you are just typing one line then it may not be worth the post. It's a forum but not necessarily a chatroom.
