owkee :P and it will work thene ? -_-

#133784

Yes. :)

but you will have only one button on your mouse because apple's mouse don't have 3 buttons like PC's

i think it will work... i've tested a apple keyboard on XP, it works great! the vol +/- key works, only the eject-key won't work.... but for the wireless-one u need bluetooth, but i think that's no prob.

Only The Keybord is compatible - IMO not the Mouse :( (I read a test about it in a german magazine: www.chip.de)

umm No..The mouse should work just fine if you plug it into the USB port of your computer. The fact that you'd have just 1 mouse button, no scroll wheel and that I'm not stupid enough to spend 70 CAD on a mouse is besides the point.

I've used the mouse on a pc... it works fine. I had to use a mouse instead of the touchpad on my laptop at work one time and it was the closest mouse to me.

I swear, this is the most asked question that should not be asked because it has been asked and answered so many times.

Why in a world would you wanna use the Apple mouse with your PC?!!!

Many MAC users, use PC mouses on their laptops just for the fact that they are so expensive.Plus, not to mention that there's no scrolling whell and only ONE button!!!

Some people don't know what they have, till they are left without it.

Another case:MSN messenger for MAC.PC users are jealous of it's aqua design on the Mac but in the other hand,Mac users would "die' for a PC version with audio/video compability. Who cares if the MSN Mac icon is more attractive than the PC's one.Don't judge the book by the cover.

@Everyone: Re-read the question...

wireless

You can't use the Apple Wireless keyboard or mouse with Windows because you can't get Bluetooth input device drivers for Windows XP apart from Microsoft's Intellipoint, which will only work with Microsoft's Bluetooth gear. Alternatively, there's Logitech's Bluetooth gear, but again, I doubt that'll work with anything but Logitech hardware...

About the "wireless" bit. Can you not plug any bluetooth thumb/reciever thing into your PC and it will automatically detect the keyboard? Is there no external apple one that might work with a PC USB?

No - basically, Windows needs special Bluetooth keyboard/mouse drivers.

For the Apple gear to work, you'll have to find someone to write them, or do it yourself.

Oh, and Bluetooth drivers are Not Fun To Write™.

as for the mouse, i use "The Mouse" from macmice.com

it looks just like the apple mouse except it has 2 buttons and a scroll wheel!

just to clarify i purchased the logitech Nevo bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

These are the facts about this device. The receiver is just any plain bluetooth reciever. Yeah. When i plugged it in the computer reconized the keyboard and the mouse, even my Palm Tungsten T3!

Basically what im reading if the bluetooth software recognizes the general "human interface device" atleast thats what logitech detected its keyboard and mice.

heres the sweet spot. I was browsing some websites and came open logitech's faq about the keyboard nevo.

Theres a faq seeing if u even need the logitech bluetooth received. it stated NO al lyou would need is a bluetooth compatible bluetooth device that can detect and human interface devices, BLUETOOTH keyboards, mice, gamepads, whatever else.

So basically you can probally use the apple wireless keyboard to work with PC, IF it detects it as a "human interface device"

Im going to test this keyboard and mice on my friends powerbook to see if it detects the logitech keyboard with his built-in bluetooth.

you got the question backwards. he asked about plugging apple into pc. not pc into apple. of course logitech works on apple.

#149861

no. IM STATING THE WHOLE POINT

If logitech bluetooth keyboard works as a general bluetooth human interface device i dont see how apple wireless can too. but the bluetooth has to support the human interface protocol.

im just adding im going to test my keyboard to see if it really does with work other bluetooth devices.
