Slow Firefox

XalCore made a practically perfect Safari clone using Firefox, and I love it. My only problem is that I find Firefox slow with rendering website images compared to browsers using the IE engine. I'd like to know if anyone else has noticed this and if there is a solution or is it something one has to live with in order to enjoy XalCore's work?

**My bad, it's by Aquarius.**

its cuz of all the images used in the skin, and the images are top quality, they drain your system resources more. If you want your firefox faster you'll have to get another theme or open up all the images in adobe and compress them more, the second option would take much longer.

Firefox is low by nature...

Maybe on your comp, with the default skin, my firefox ran pretty quickly, After i installed the safari skin it slowed down, thats why i'm making a neos skin, that hopefully doesn't slow firefox down as much. :)

hmm... that's too bad. Even with the a skin using fairly high quality images it runs pretty good with me.

For page rendering, you may want to take a look at this page from Firefox help: speed up page rending.

Thanks a bunch, sketching.

The nightly builds are EXTREMELY fast. I recommend them, even if that page rendering helped.

I would, juno, but I modded Firefox into aquarius's Safari clone and I think there might be issues with the nightly builds.
