Aqua-Soft ForumsI was browsing the Dock Skin Archive and I noticed that it has pngs for previews, but i see them with a light blue background, instead of transparent, so I went into a mac with osx 10.2 and mac ie 5.2 and opened the same webpage, and the pngs were displayed correctly, with a real transparent background and shadows were displayed correctly. Does anyone knows why? and if it is posible to be done in windows?

i came to found out that it is a Internet Explorer problem, supposly netscape can do it correctly. And there is a stupid way, but it needs to add a code to the source, and used directx or something, that is the way to do it by microsoft, who claim that it is correct. No exclusive mac thing, but mac ie is done correctly.

maybe you use Windows 98? Well, I think XP, or Are you using Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1? Or only 6.0? etc?

Im just let you know my opinion that WIndows is original that Macintosh. Coz I've read in a mac-related magazine that ----------- is better than the original. That original is pointing to OSX. People is emulating OS X because of the designs. Not the deep one.

My guess is that the reason png's display correctly in IE for a Mac is that MS knows it can't fool Mac users with improperly displayed PNG's.
I suggest using Mozilla or Phoenix (a Mozilla project) under windows. It displays transparent PNG files beautifully.
