[help] Please Could You Help Me With The Services

Okay so a few days ago I disabled a few services that I supposedly didn't need according the blackviper.com site.

Now try as I may I cannot get Norton Internet Security to work.

If anyone, please anyone can tell me which service this program needs I will be most greatful and if there is anything I can do to help you I will.

If you would like a more detailed explination here it is:

When I go into Norton Internet Security 2003

It says that security is off and everything is disabled so naturally I click on the security button to try and turn it on, but when I click on it, the button that should say enable security does not appear.

I do not understand why this is happening (apart from my stupidity of disabling the service). But I really would appreciate your help guys.

Thank you very very very very very x1000000000 much.

run > services.msc, there should be some services that are for norton only, e.g. defwatch. there are others, but you should go through and set them to automatic.

Actually weirdly it is micrsoft windows services that stop it from working because I left the Norton Services well alone.

Turn them back on one at a time until it works

and next time write down what you've done so that you can undo should needs be.

or use system restore

yeah, turn on the services one by one and see if it works. there could be ones that you don't recognize, e.g. alg service, that may be needed, so you can't always just guess. good luck!
