[Request] Ftp Drop Widget

:bye: While broswing through the march desktops Brazil had this really neat looking widget on his desktop. Upon closer inspection and after pming him I found out that it was

This is for Konfabulator and (it should be obvious by now) I don't have a mac. So I was wondering if anyone could port this to Sam.

This is a link to the authors page. He has 2 versions of the FTP widget...mini, and....not mini.

If anyone is willing to take on this little task please let me know. So far the author has told me that the actual FTP part itself is a PHP script and that you could try using that but you'd need the PHP CLI installed on whatever computer the widget will run on.

lol I'm trying to get it made for samurize. If no one can port it I'm definitely gonna buy an emac! I hope it is. I'm getting all the coding right now from the author and the only thing left to do would be arranging the coding (if possible) to samurize's standards and then doing some graphics. But first I'd like to see who would be up to doing it.

I've also seen this on the konfabulator homepage, but i think it's not going to work with samurize? Does samurize support php, maybe someone (tadis) can do this with an VB script, but i think it's not so easy.

Samurize doesn't support PHP unless you have PHP installed.. then you could run it from the command line or something.

I think it would be very hard/impossible? to port this to Samurize until the Samurize API has been developed further.. then it could be done with a plugin.

no need of an app for that, just a shortcut to a batch file using windows ftp (I think it does support PASV ) then customize the display with avedesk, as this droplet doesnt seem to have any animations it's just a matter of finding the good icon

@Alderaic, oct00 and anyone else who's willing to create an app with the same concept as this one...

I do have some graphics that the author of the original config let me use. So if you guys want to see them just let me know and I'll upload or email them.

Alright, the app is in final beta testing and should be out in a couple of days. I need to add png support for advanced transperency, but currentally it uses pure red as transperency.

Avedesk 1.1 with drag and drop -- this ought to work.. If anything you could just make a shortcut to a folder on the ftp server and IE's built in FTP function would put dropped files into that folder. But in the meantime, looking forward to oct00's app! Would be nice to have this as a docklet!
