i'm challenging any and all coders here, to create a program, that would bypass the uxthemeing system in XP, and tell any given application to use a different MSStyles file.
basically, what the app would have to do, is run another instance of the UXTheme service, and re-route apps to that service..
that way, the default XP Msstyle could be set to "Panther", and the secondary UXtheme service would be running an "iSkin" (brushed.
that way, when an app comes up, that is in the "include list" it would be routed to the secondary skin, and give the full appearance of "iApps" with out loosing the look of the real "Panther".
this way, you don't have to have all brushed metal, or all pinstripes..
good luck,
i'm sure someone here can do it.. ![]()
