Just so I know - what resolution should I make these walls for my wallpaper pack (I'm thinking of 1074x768 + 1280x1074)? and also any favorite colours styles......
Probably 1600x1200 (even though I don't use that rez) because it takes 2 seconds to mod a 1600 wp to a 1280x1024 or 1024x768 one
1600x1200 is the way to go, you don't even have to resize it manualy for windows (i think mac does this too?) you can just let windows resize it to your screensize when you apply it as a background in the drop-down box.
resizing up = bad
resizing down = good
That's why I always work in large resolutions like 1600x1200 or larger (My desktop is also 1600x1200).
Did I forget to mention that these are great? No, they're even better then that, they're awesome!

Well if you set a 1600x1200 wp as your wp while using, say, a rez of 1280x1024, it will look streched height-wise
The solution is to reduce the image size (in Photoshop) to 1365x1024 (which scales to 1600x1200), then trim the canvas to 1280x1024
