Any Artists Here?
Those are excellent, make me quite jealous actually
They all evoke Dali to me for some reason, not in a surrealist sense though (they are much less abstract than Dali's work), but they are similar in the design and architechture of the paintings. The 3rd has a kind of pop-art feel, reminds me of one of those old "Greetings from Florida" postcards from the 1950s.
I'm no professional artist, but I can draw pretty good. I can make very realistic portraits but like you I basically stopped somewhere at 10-14yrs . I can say that I will draw once in awhile as stress relieve or to kill the time. You not only can draw but paint or use coarser color materials to achieve textures. What you posted is very good and you should never give it up totally.
I've been on a TLC channel kick lately watching all those "do-it-yourself" shows and re-models so my thought is, make a space for them in your home. Showcase them. They'd become a conversation piece and it would show off your artistic skills.
If your maried, it'll remind your wife why she married you, and if your single, it'll give your prospects an idea of who you are.
Jesus...those shows have gone to my head.
Oh yeah, and they;d give you the motivation to start up again.
Maybe even combine your artistic qualities with Photoshop so that your computer reflects your art as well.
WOW thats amazing taha.. i wish i could draw like that.. im only good at computer art skills.. but holy gees.. thats one amazing talent!!!!!

Taha! these are simply amazing. I agree with what duckie said, frame them and put them up in one of your empty walls.

I like to play air drums and air guitar...
ohhh... not that kind of artist, eh?
nice job, taha.
I do sketches, but they look like crap.
Those are really good sketches Taha. I can draw pretty good too but I just don't have the patience for it.
I'm an artist =) I got various sketches but most of them were done between a year two years ago and about 99% of them are dbz related. Anyways I have done a few watercolor paintings in my art classes but watercoloring didn't like me and I didn't like it. Oil painting on the other has been quite enjoyable compared to my watercoloring experiences.

This painting is my only and first oil painting and still unfinished oil painting of mine. I hope to get it done within the next week or 2 but knowin me that means in a couple of months. The pic in the right bottom corner is the collage we had to make from print outs or magizines before we could start on the painting in my art class. originally it was going to have final fantasy stuff in it(even though I do not like ff) but I lost that collage, so now it has Vash from Trigun and Sub-Zero and Scorpion.
I'm an aritst, I guess. I make a regular comic strip and am working on a few deals here and there.

that's a fake promo I made for my friends. ![]()
Something new
Class was kinda boring today, so I did another image. Sorry it's yet another 3/4 facial perspective, i wasn't expecting this one to turn into anything, but it did. It's not done yet, but I like it. And yes, her hair is supposed to look plastic-y and huge. ![]()
Still lotsa paper marks and stuff, more work to do.

I know, it says 2002, I always trail off my 3's
