Description:
A desklet that will show an overlay from the current screen. THe overlays bounding rectangle can be defined.
All settings are changed by editing the ini-file. See DEFAULTS.INI as example.

This is way cool but I would like for it to open my screen shots folder...changed the ini file but it still wants to open my computer how can I configure it?

Why not? OD one will be done within some minutes, Y'z one may take a little longer depending if I do it the quick-n-dirty way or the right-way.
Check this thread the next few minutes 
OD one First download the AveDesk one from dockex, than use this DLL instead.

Awesome desklet. Andreas, would you be able to make the desklet send the image that is displayed on the desklet (with the resolution customizable) to other users? Perhaps imbedding it in a web page or streaming it via Flash, Java, or Javascript?
OK maybe I'm not doing this right - but I have used a widescreen Apple cinema screen as my icon - and no matter what I define in the .ini the screenshot stays the same!
I've restarted Avedesk but nothing changes. (and yes I have closed Avedesk amended the settings and restarted it - still nothing) I can't even get the box to move !!
edit:: with the superb help of AndreasV I now have it working - to anyone else who is having problems you need to add a new desklet and delete your old one for it to work.
Gimme the icon and the ini-file, I will fix it for ya 
This is quite an interesting development, Thanks Andreas.
Just thought i'd throw an idea into the mix and ask whether there is a possibility of this being developed into a virtual desktop manager (or work as a display of an existing one such as MSVDM), i.e. so that you could see what's on all your virtual desktops through different icons?
Just a thought.
ok, so i just got this idea... we have screencapture docklets/desklets, and we have this curscreen docklet/desklet. Can somebody make us a curscreen docklet/desklet that takes a screencapture? That would rock
