[release] Xplore Panther Skin

Perfect Panther

What I did/fixed:

1. all new masking on the upper buttons

2. new back/forward images

3. updated all other top buttons

4. Created all new toolbar images

5. Used resources from Real panther toolbar

6. per pixel alignment of text and icons

7. added real Panther text to images for realism

8. re-aligned buttons

Simply extract the folders, contained in the rar file, into the images directory of Xplore.

Please make sure Xplore is closed first and always make a backup of the originals for your convenience.

Also, delete ALL text in the fields and just leave the shortcut.

The reason i did it this way is both for realism, and because Xplore has yet to add font functionality/changing.

i love the masking fixes you made, but the text on the sidebar looks better when its bold and shorter / non wider. I see you replaced a couple of images on the side to the original ones.

actually, that's the real Panther text view, so it's more realistic

and what images do you mean?

Pictures image

They're less blurred and actually have a shadow under / behind theme. You can compare with the old and the new windows of xplore.

yes, because I used the REAL toolbar images(complete with tranparency) that I had on this computer.

I started all the toolbar images from scratch. They're all new, actually.

I used screenshots for near pixel perfect integration and aligned every pic the same way

hell, the damn coordinates are still ringing in my head from doing all of them...42x11...42x11...42x11

yeah man, at first i was looking at differences on teh toolbar and stuff but then i realized, i even got credit lol.

Nice Job Duckie, im impressed/affraid of your accuracy when emulating panther. you even have the folder structure like in Mac OS... :smartass:

icons are set to 72x72

the font is LucidaMAC

search the forums for that name or for 'soulless fonts'

I used an app called FolderIcon by Max Maischein.

it creates a desktop.ini with the icon placement so that Windows and Xplore both see them as they are.
