(help) I Want To Start Porting Visual Styles

ok just thought I could help the community and become another person to port visual styles but I need to know what software to become familiar with..

Do you use reshack? stylebuilder?

let me know and ill get crackin on some ports...

i use reshacker and resbuilder (from tgtsoft). they suit my needs perfectly.

stylebuilder is what most people use, though.

I'm interested in the subject too, however not on what to use as since i use StyleXP so i had to use StyleBuilder.

So i'm more interested in the process it self such as how and from where do you get the original graphics? "snapshots, you ask the author for the whole thing".

And a step by step process.

I'm interested only in ports.

That doenst meen you have to use stylebuilder, StyleXP uses .msstyle the same as windows does
