[wip] Pinstripe Again....

Its not finished yet but 90% is done.

Works with Opera 7.5 beta pretty well.

New improvements over my previous opera skins:

-text fields rounded for search box only

-bookmarks "open book" is on the background image and in the same place as safari

-opera 7.5 has favicons so they appear in the personal bar. it has new fixed and dynamic spacers to customize the toolbar, too.

-currently i'm using more functional buttons on the toolbar that can be downloaded directly from this page (w/two functions in one button): http://nontroppo.org/wiki/CustomButtons

-I'm showing here three differents skins. The only thing that change beetwen them is the background image. I have some special backgrounds and modified VS titlebar bitmaps to achieve a more flat surface between the titlebar and the opera toolbar.

-0 pixel borders for the webpage area so it has only 1 pixel border of the VS

-90% of the little buttons are mac like.

-no skin for the mail and icq extensions, since I dont use them.

To do:

-A separator button

-redo the adressbar text field

-........

I made a lot of mods and tricks in the program itself, i'm trying to remember all of them so i can make a tutorial and finally release everything.

PM me if someone want to try it (Edit: dont pm me anymore regarding opera skins, my opera skins are here for everyone to download; yes, Pinstripe is not there, I forgot the password of that account, sorry. All the stuff is pretty old, and probably incompatible with the newest opera versions, but someone can take it and make something good of it since there are no opera skins that recreate the Mac spirit (not only some buttons) even today.

Whats wrong with 'whoa me loves it' posts? It helps support the dev, and encurages them to do more work. Without thoes posts all we would have are people that seem to be bisnatchy about te features, people asking for a release or people who dont like the skin, and thoes dont encuarage the dev very much.

edit: i didnt know you were an mod pe7er, did i like miss some memo or soemthing? Is this new or have i never like noticed?

edit 2: sorry for hijacking the thread, its just what street people do. It looks like an excelent skin.

Ah, I was focusing on the other one, on 'plz release them'. Encouraging posts are good, but to some extent. It's hard to dig thru 20 page thread when looking for some useful information. It was just a suggestion. Apart of that you can always rate the topic.

And yes, you missed the memo. It's new so please forgive me, I'm a n00b again

Sorry , I'm not in the mood of opera skins anymore and I don't have much time these days to continue with the skins development. I was so tired of finish some modification and then, a new version of opera throw everything away and have to start from the begining (This skin worked well with the 7.5 beta but it doesn't work with 7.5). I dont have the time to dig into the skin code to put everything in its place again.

I'll upload the skin later, maybe someone is interested in continue the job....

I don't even use Opera anymore.

btw the skin works fine in 7.51 release (I've modified it a bit, of course, but nothing serious). I've just replaced new standard skin with old one (yeah, call me Mr. Lazy )
