Microflash?
Is that the same as Macromedia Flash?
When you installed it you picked Mozilla as the browser? Depending on build it often disn't see it and installs it for just IE
I have absolutely no problems using Flash (or Shockwave, for that matter) in Firefox...
If you download the "Netscape" installers from Macromedia's Web Player page, you should be prompted to choose the browsers to install the plugin for.
I had the same problem with Firebird... If it came across a flash file it would just say "click here to get plug-in" so I did and it took me to the right website and I got it... simple really
You probably installed Mozilla/Fire* whatever using a .zip file. That's your problem.
During the flash installation, it will give you an option of "Other" or something along those lines. Browse to your mozilla/firefox directory, and the subdirectory "plugins", then install it. Restart mozilla/firefox. You're good to go.
The problem is with the zip installation. The zip installation does not add the prooper registry keys needed. If you use the firebird installer that is unofficial or use the official firefox installer then the problem will be corrected.
i use firefox and update nitely based on the nitely release
there are only 3 .dll files that i need in my \firefox\plugin dir so that i can have all shock/flash etc work
so far these seem to cover everything and i never get a request to install plugin
they are:
np32dsw.dll
npnul32.dll
NPSWF32.dll
everytime i update with a new nitely i simply copy those 3 .dlls over to the new plugin dir and its done
if i'm wrong or u want to test me with a site let me know ![]()
so get those dlls in your plugin dir and u are fine
