Couple of question

Hi I recently discovered this site, and my first impressions are that you've got something really good going here. I've already downloaded and installed AquaMail, AquaBrowser and Aqua Controls, but I have a few questions that need answering.

1. I installed AquaControls, then AquaBrowser and 'Mail, yet I still can't seem to figure out what AquaControls actually does. There's no readme, programs or anything. All I did was install it, then I can't seem to find it anywhere on my system. What does it do? Am I doing something wrong?? :blink:

2. When I run AquaBrowser, most of the buttons works; forward, back, Home etc. but Favourites/Booksmarks doesn't seem to do anything. Neither does the bar across the top. They don't do anything when you put your mouse over then, or when you click on them. Again, am I doing something wrong :blink:

3. Only a small thing; the text on 'Browser and 'Mail doesn't seem to be as clear as in other screenshot I have seen ( E.G here is someone else's here, yet mine looks like this ) Is there anyway to 'smooth' the text and keep the whole 'Aqua' look? Yes, I know I'm being picky, but I've spent ages "Mac-ifying" my desktop and I want to get it right

1. They don't 'DO' anything. They are like DLL's...they help the AquaProgram's run and contain the elements for the appearance.

2. Try moving your Windows Taskbar away from the top of the screen. You'll see a finder bar with all the options you need.

3. Could be your settings. Open your Display Settings dialog, go to the Apperarance tab, click effects, the choose 'Clear-Tyoe' in the pull down menu.

Ok... let's do this step by step...

1. right click on your desktop (not on your icons, the clear area)

2. in the "Display Properties" dialogue that opens, click on the "Appearance" tab

4. in the "Effects" window that just opened, click the checkbox next to text saying "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:" and click on the drop down box just below the text mentioned

5. choose "ClearType"

6. click OK

7. click OK

There you go... wasn't that hard, was it?

No, what I meant by "I can't get to the settings" is that the bar across the top of the program, where the settings usually are, was disabled; which Jef kindly pointed out

And if all I'm gonna do is be patronized then I may as just go elsewhere

(if you review the post i've quoted before, you'll see it could've been easily interpreted the way i interpreted it... i keep having misunderstandings with people lately... seems something's awfully wrong with my english...)
