Help-writinggurlinc Logo
I could help you with your logo. Also, you have a really high resolution on your comp, huh? It really shows in your site. Horizontal bars are really discouraging.
what might that purpose be?
ya, all it does is annoy people...
You should really change the way the site is built. Nothing is worse than horizontal scrolling. Simple as that ![]()
I agree. I'm running 1280x960 and its still a pain in the rear to look at!
whatever.
anyways, about the logo. Once I get one, I'll make a design to fit it.
So, wizard I would be gald for you to help.
If you have msn messgener, add me to your list (WritingGurl@hotmail.com), or feel free to pm me.

May I make the suggestion that you don't make the entire site out of images. It's annoyingly slow to load and gives blurry text. Also I agree with what the others said about side scrolling.
Sorry to go waaaaaay offtopic here but
WritingGurl, you write, that's so cool
I too myself am a Poet and a Writer
I like your site by the way it's mysterious.

lol i'm running a 17" 1440X900 and I have to scroll too!
It is not the first page i have seen with side scrolling and altough i dont like it personally, and if Jakob Nielsen saw it he would precipitate into a coma, it doesnt mean its not a valid artistic representation of an online presence, its not like shes running a company website, she can have the scrolling as she pleases... right?
It all depends on your intended audience. Despite what Jakob Nielsen might say, usability really depends on your target audience, and also, rules are there to be broken, so long as there is a reason for it. The site is abviously artsy in it's focus, and as a writer WGI can assume that the caliber of visitors she gets will be significantly above the average "uhh.. what's this... why's it scrollin' sideways?" web user. As an artistic representation, it's fine. Seen it before, some times it works, some times it dont. Simple as that. Personally... Not my thing... But for the kind of site, it's ok to do it.
Btw... I agree on the point of not using all images to construct it though, it makes it slow and a bit fuzzy round the edges...
Cheers,
