whenever i click the button to change an icon the dock crashes...anyone know what could be wrong?
Yz Dock Crash
I would say its the program crashing :6
Try to delete all the icons in the dock, ive found that Y'z dock doesnt like some icons (few but some)
If that doesntwork start with a fresh copy of Y'z dock, and if that doesnt work sometheings fubard with your windows XP install.
well it has worked fine and never had this happen since ive had it for a month now and ive had the same icons i just went to change one of them and i started experiencing that problem

Well, there are 2 topics about this problem. [here for example] Do you installed any 3th part progs like style xp 2.0 or some tuning tools with that you can change the default folder icon manually? I have had the same problem. It also won't work with full icon packs which you can use with style xp etc. Don't know why yz dock don't work with that.
The only way for me was to change the default Folder icon in the .dll file using resHacker, Replacer etc.
I don't know why the dock wouldn't work when using tools like that but i think thats your problem.
Just try it and change to default icon and you will see that you can change any icon in your dock!

well i have style xp 2.0 but i had that before i got yz dock and the dock worked fine with it ... but i reset all my icons to the default and the dock still crashes when i click change icon....i cant figure out what is wrong with it
have you tried a fresh unzip? start from scratch and see if the problem still exists.
yea i deleted it and did a fresh unzip..still didnt fix it...... but i figured out a way around it....instead of right clicking on the icon and going to change the icon...exit yz dock, make sure you copied the icon that you want to use to the icon folder like always, then open the itemlist configuration file and change the the 1000000 to all zeros and then change CPUMonitor.png to the name of the icon that you copied, start yz dock again and there ya go.. worked perfectly for me... if you need help let me know
it's a long way to change only one f*****g icon, isn't it?!
But if you agree with that .. well done!
if you consider changing a 1 to a 0 and a file name a long way then yes but if you dont like the default icons for programs then no...
