Packing Actual Firefox Skin Files

Since so many skins released here are released as classic.jars, could anyone tell me how to repack them as actual skin files? It's getting very very annoying having to replace ten files everytime i want to change a skin. Thanks

You mean change the names of the skin files? Its some place in the XML files, do a search in the one that sounds most relevant

No, I mean to change the classic.jar skin file into an actual skin file that Firefox can install (so it'll show up on the theme list in Firefox's properties). This way we can actually switch themes easily instead of having to replace five or so files each time.

I know what he means.

And I think it's a good idea. Whenever a new skin is released for FireFox, it'd be better if it's released in a form such that it can be installed as per other skins for FireFox. (e.g. the way Lynchknot does it.)

For now, most of the new skins are done on a replacement of the classic.jar, which works, but requires manual replacement of many other files when you want a change of skin again.

If it's possible to install the new skins, and apply any one of them simply by a click of a button, that would be marvellous.

So anyone knows of a way to pack the skins such that they can be applied easier?
