ClearType font smoothing often makes fonts blurred, give that a go and see if it gets the effect you're after
I asked this before in another thread, but since this is going to be an update, is it possible to show the loading status of the page in the address bar?
it allready is possibe (but it`s very un-Safari)
go to the tabbrowser extension`s properties. first mark "Use expert preferences" and then in tabs mark the "show progress meter in tabs" field.

Where a block blue bar would move from left to right indicating the completeness of the page load
I think that's one thing that makes Safari easily distinguishable from a Firefox imitation atm

I could tell the first was Firefox and the second was Safari because of the content in the titlebar, only an imitation safari would need to tell it's Safari.
I can't wait for this next update - the original was excellent - but this one looks fantastic!!! :woot:
I know you are updating but what would be perfect would be to make it work with msstyle or WB theme - like most current themes. OS hover needs to be cancelled on main toolbar and bookmark toolbar. Also, hover on go causes the url bar to stretch and it's not aligned (on my pc).

Something is amiss. This code should not force icons to missalign. Browser/browser.css

..just a guess but something tells me icons are being forced to align.. unnaturally (url bar restriction?) - I will check.

Keep it up Lynchnot, I'm sure Rainbow will welcome the extra help, as your expertise is invaluble. After all, you need something to do now that you took a break from developing Firefox skins.
Again I point out (as i did in the other thread), this mod des work with Visual Styles but there are no Visual Styles specifically designed to work well with this mod, and as you can't have one visual style for firefox and another visual style for everything else it's probably not worth making them. :smartass:
The best of the ones I've got that work is Good Grey, there are no alignent problems, no hover button backgrounds or anything, it almost works perfectly with this theme, bar the titlebar as it seems everyone wants a brushed title bar.
Lynchknot, from your screen shot I can see that you are using one of the nightly builds, what did you do to make the personal bookmark show? Last time I tried, this theme would go crazy if I did not use the released 0.8 build of Firefox.

There should not be any alignment problems period. If there are, then something is "propping" up the icons or they aren't aligned naturally.
In the past, the problem when using WB were the scrollbars - there may have to be 2 versions if the problems cannot be rectified

BTW, i'm far from being an expert. I have to go into old jars to recall changes i've made in the past. When I started, I did not even know what a png was - in fact i've only been on computer for 2 years.

Using the code to remove OS hover on toolbar and replacing the entire global in default classic jar with one from Pixelperfect I see this:
Now using classic's global but replacing elements one at a time, there is no alignment isssue yet.
*edit - when I added toolbar.css in global there is the alignment issue
Some issues developing when using the image of a toolbar seperator (Aqua_15.bmp) instead of a real one (though if you use Fx one, there will be a seperator on top as well) 
I am sorry aquarius2003 - I just realized I was hijacking your thread. I will stop now. I thought I would merge pixperfect into SAFNB - just for fun. It, obviously, needs work.
